1. Describe a type of weather that you like the most.

Well, people may think that I am weird, but honestly, my most favorite type of weather that I like most is snowy weather. I was born in Vietnam, snow is very and it can only be seen in one or two mountainous provinces in the Northern part.

I like it because I want to be immersed in white snowflakes and have some fun with them. Just the thought of building a snowman or throwing snow at my friends makes me happy as a clam. I often wish I could go to some Western countries such as America, Sweden or England to enjoy the weather as well as admiring the snow falling outside – one of the most interesting natural phenomena.

Additionally, I like because this is the time that I can wear my favorite clothes, which are warm clothes such as sweaters, thick coats or boots. Although I am aware that it is not easy to live in the weather when temperature is low, sometimes I with cold but I really want to enjoy that vibe. How many people know that due to global warming, the temperature in some countries has begun to rise, which leads to a reduction in snow. I have to rush so that I can enjoy true snowy weather.

I would like to talk about my experience seeing the red-shanked douc langur in a wildlife rescue center. Two years ago, my and I were on a school trip when we visited Cúc Phương National park in Ninh Bình province. There, we went to EPRC, which stands for Endangered Primate Rescue Center to learn more about Vietnam’s . I was walking around the center as a family of colourful-looking monkeys caught my attention. The informed us that their names were “red-shanked douc langur” due to the reddish color of their legs. Apart from that, their faces were bright orange and their torsos and arms had three colors in the order of black, grey and white from the top down. Their tails were about 1.5 meter long and coated in white . They were housed in a large enclosure with wooden beams so they could move around freely. Our visit coincided with their feeding time so we got to see them being fed. Their diet comprised mostly fresh leaves collected by the keepers and some fruit. They seemed to be joyous having their meal. However, I also learnt that the reality of their survival was . As a species, they’re critically endangered and most of the langurs at the center were rescued from illegal wildlife trade markets or turned in after being raised as pets. Luckily, there had been efforts to save them from the brink of extinction. I was so enthralled by their majestic beauty and I promised myself that day I would spread awareness about their protection whenever I could.

3. Describe an environmental problem that has occurred in your country.

If there is an environmental problem that I would like to talk about, it would be the pollution of waterways, rivers, and canals. It was caused by the irresponsible disposal of wastes by the factories, industries, and the people who live near the .

The pollution of the rivers was the effect of prolonged and neglect. The rivers were considered biologically dead, which means no fish left to catch and less food to eat. Boats could not travel because of the density of the debris of floating plastic wastes; the rivers emit a foul stench and the waters are which houses a number of bacteria that could cause different diseases.

In the 90s, the government started to create a rehabilitation program for the rivers and waterways, unfortunately, they to displace the main polluters-the illegal settlers near the river, simply because they have their “human rights”.

The problem is important to solve simply because water is life. It is the circulatory system of the world, water enables life forms to survive and we need other life forms in order to survive.

4. Describe your favorite season or time of the year.

I think my favorite time of the year is spring. The main reason I like it is that it’s neither freezing cold nor hot. In some places I’ve known, it rains most of the time in spring. But I was mainly thinking of when I lived in Sydney, it was so . The sky is blue and the weather is nice and warm. The flowers start to and the leaves on the trees turn green. Since Sydney has many parks, my family and I would often go for picnics in the where we would play badminton, eat, rest, and look at all the plants and flowers. Our favorite park was the Botanical Garden. It had so many different kinds of plants, trees, and flowers.

Another thing I like to do during springtime is to get up early and climb mountains. There was one mountain near our house called ABC, it wasn’t so high but there were no steps, only a few rough trails.

Another thing I like about spring is when some animals are born. That’s when you can see all of the squirrels, dogs, cats, snakes, and spiders. The air always seems fresher in the spring, the sky is bluer, the grass greener, and the people friendlier—or at least I think so.
