I think people watch TV for entertainment. There are far more entertainment programs than educational ones. And in my experience, most people see TV as a form of in their free time. If I think about the most popular programs in the UK, such as talent shows like “X-Factor” or soap operas like “Eastenders”, the focus is definitely on entertainment rather than education.

Also, web-based companies like Amazon are really popular nowadays. In the future, I’m sure we will spend more money online than in traditional shops.

Additionally, I think it is the emergence of different kinds of smartphones that enable people to get easier access to available social media applications and thus use them more often.
