1. Describe a good law in your country.

Today I’m going to talk about a law that I find very in my country. It is a law that bans people from throwing in public places.

A few days ago, I heard the news broadcast on channel VTV1 that this law had been enacted after the Environmental Protection Conference last month. It says that no one is allowed to litter in public sites, especially tourist attractions. If anyone is caught throwing rubbish in such places, he or she must pay a fine of about 1 million to 5 million Vietnam Dong, which is a amount of money. In case a person is reported to have broken the law, the one who reported may receive a bonus of 5 million, of course, with proper evidence only.

After this law came into force, some people were reported. The strict punishment and strong criticism from the media as well have citizens from throwing rubbish anywhere they want. Also, the stunning views and natural landscapes of some famous tourist attractions in Vietnam have been protected. There are also fewer complaints from tourists about so much litter such as used cans and bottles appearing on the beach. And the most important thing is that the citizens’ of protecting the environment has greatly improved.

2. Describe a good law in your country

Smoking is undoubtedly a bad habit with numerous detrimental impacts on smokers and on society as a whole. Not a single benefit of smoking could be found until today and so the government of Australia has become rigid on the issue of smoking here and there. I welcome a law that bans smoking in places and which ensures that cigarettes are sold in plain packets.

When the stringent anti-smoking law , it was publicised on mainstream media. I came to know about the issue from the mass media reports and other publications. Moreover, there were some silent moves by the tobacco companies and they tried to stop the process of plain packaging. But they were a failure. Despite the barriers from the tobacco companies, the government implemented the law and made it a must for them to sell cigarettes in plain packets. the law is subject to severe punishment in terms of monetary fine and sentence for imprisonment.

People across the country and islands are highly satisfied with the anti-smoking law provisions. In fact, it was troublesome to tolerate cigarette smoke in public transports and places like bus stoppages, medical centres, theatres, schools, colleges, shopping malls and other public places. This was a big problem for the non-smokers to comply with the cigarette smoke. As a result, the number of health disorders was . But with the initiation of the new anti-tobacco law, non-smokers are relieved to a great extent. The rate of smoking in public places has reduced to a great extent. Besides, there is a decline in cigarette sales as well. So, it appears that people have accepted the law gladly and abided by it as much as they can.

This is really a good law for the state. Smoking is both for the smokers and the non-smokers. Besides, smoking cigarettes is also harmful to the environment. The attempt from the government to stop the use of tobacco is really appreciated. It is anticipated that someday the use of tobacco will come down to a great extent and that is the expectation from everyone.

3. Describe a good law in your country

Well I am no expert in legislation, but I pride myself on being a law-abiding citizen, and today I’ll tell you about a law that I adhere to religiously. It is when driving a motorcycle.

I guess this law is enforced around the world and not really unique to Vietnam, but it bears repeating that in Vietnam wearing a helmet wasn’t always required. You could actually ride a motorbike helmet-free in your country some 10-15 years ago. However, in the wake of rising traffic-related injuries and fatalities, the decided to institute compulsory helmet use.

Initially, people were against it. They preferred the comfort of not wearing a helmet. Teenagers who were conscious of their appearance hated the fact that wearing a helmet could ruin their hair or make them look like a complete dork- I mean we’re living in a country where is more important than being alive, after all.

Fortunately, nowadays most people by this law, and they should. Not wearing a helmet can cost you dearly. If you get caught by the police, you’ll be penalized and have to pay a hefty fine. You could bribe the police officers though, and most of the time they're willing to let you off the hook for not a lot of money.

But of course, those who do not wear a helmet do so at the expense of their lives, especially if you collide head-on with another vehicle.

So, for the sake of your own safety, just put the freaking hat on.
