1. What are some social problems in your country?

Recently, there are a lot of people getting laid off because of the economic impact of the global pandemic. These people have successfully the socio-economic ladder, but now they are extremely anxious, not only about the possibility of the second wave of COVID-19 but also the possibility of the second wave of poverty. Well, issues related to the economy like poverty will eventually lead to social if not handled properly. The high unemployment rate often becomes the reason for crimes, making people feel unsafe. The pandemic also makes the household become more vulnerable. When the breadwinners lose their jobs, it means that the whole family has to cut expenses. In some cases, frustration resulting from such conditions can lead to domestic violence that will definitely be detrimental to the children as well.

2. You mentioned poverty. What can be done to alleviate poverty?

First of all, we have to deal with problems in our system. People are suffering from poverty because they don’t have the knowledge and skills needed to join the high-quality workforce. This is why it is necessary to invest more in education and training. Other than education, we should promote the spirit of entrepreneurship as well because entrepreneurs provide jobs for those who are in need. Actually, the government has successfully poverty to some extent, but with all this pandemic stuff going on, it is likely that they will go back to square one.

3. Why do you think people need to show their status in society?

I believe that this is because it's important in society to show you have money or are successful – it is nature, or the way we are , that makes us feel like this, but also the pressure that society puts on everyone to be successful. And showing status is basically showing that you have money and you have success, so this is what people want to do. Going back to the example of the car, driving around in a Mercedes is a very show of status – it basically says to people, “Look, I am successful and I have money.” Another reason is possibly respect. In many cultures, if someone has , then they will be respected by others and they may receive preferential treatment.

4. Do you think it is better to live in the countryside or in the city?

As often as this question is raised, I believe it remains a tough decision to make when it comes to choosing between living in the countryside and living in the city. Many people have been to live and work in big cities because of better employment opportunities and higher living standards. This massive rural-to-urban migration has, however, led to in environmental pollution, traffic, and social issues in urban areas. It would be a better idea for people to live in the and travel into the city to work every day so that they can enjoy the best of both worlds.
